Benzene Found In Sunblock

In early 2021, a product testing lab tested 300 spray and lotion sunblocks. Out of 300, 78 products were found to contain benzene. Benzene is not a listed ingredient in any sunblock. It is believed the benzene contamination happens during the manufacturing process.

It is important to remember the testing lab also found benzene in after-sun products. These after-sun products are sprays and lotions to help people with sunburn.
