Community Involvement

Haggerty Silverman & Justice believes in giving back to the community and supporting causes that save lives and families. It is our steadfast commitment to continue our hope for a better life and equal opportunities to those in need. Below are just a few of the charities and foundations that we proudly support.

Organizations We Proudly Support

The Mourning Light Foundation – Is dedicated to supporting families coping with the loss of a child. This foundation has made a lifelong commitment to educating teenagers and their families about the dangers of high-risk behavior, as well as championing to bring driver’s safety classes back into schools.

Member of Puerto Rican Committee of Lancaster – Our mission is to provide a decent and respectful social environment for community members interested in promoting traditional family values, cultural identity and pride-all while providing a positive example to the youth of our community.

National Latino Peace Officers Association Supporter NLPOA – Is the largest Latino law enforcement organization in the United States, with local chapters in many cities throughout the country. Membership is comprised of a talented group of individuals seeking to provide-through our service and mentoring opportunities to our youth, better law enforcement- community relations, and service to the community in an effort to maintain and improve the quality of life of our residents. Mission: NLPOA was founded in 1972 by Vincente Calderon and John Parraz. The NLPOA was chartered on August 14, 1974. The specific purposes of the organization are to eliminate prejudice and discrimination in the criminal justice system (particularly law enforcement), reduce community juvenile delinquency, and lessen citizen tension in predominantly Latino communities.

Warwick Little League – Teaching children life lessons through baseball. The mission of Warwick Little League is to teach children about community, good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority. Each year, over 400 children participate in Warwick Little League. We believe every child in the league can grow to be a good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizen.

Rock Gold 16U – Young ladies in Lancaster, Lebanon, York, and Northumberland County striving toward excellence in fast-pitch softball. Here, young ladies develop life skills together using their own unique talents to strengthen the team. Even when faced with adversity they continue to play with passion and dedication. Always battling to the very end! They are not only a team; they are a sisterhood, a family.

Golden Slipper Club & Charities Supporter – Golden Slipper Club & Charities has been an important philanthropic presence in the Greater Philadelphia region since 1922. It has evolved into a multi-service organization supporting every generation through a summer camp for deserving children, a short- and long-term rehabilitation and nursing care center, and a senior citizens center. Our efforts are supported by over 900 members through their hard work, dedication and financial support. In addition, through its member committees, Golden Slipper Club & Charities provides a wide range of direct community services, including college scholarships, emergency financial assistance to families in need, and educational, social and cultural opportunities for area seniors.

Lower Gwynedd Baseball Sponsor – The Lower Gwynedd baseball mission teaches young boys and girls the fundamentals of baseball and the core values of team play, skills development, and a desire for lifelong learning.

Jersey Intensity Fast Pitch Sponsor – The Intensity organization is based in Howell, N.J. and is dedicated to providing girls an opportunity to develop their skills and their love of the game of fast-pitch softball through high-level competition. Centered on a foundation of good sportsmanship and teamwork, we are focused on preparing our players for success in the game as they enter junior high school, high school and college. In 2007, our goal is to qualify and win a sanctioned national tournament.

Susanna DeLaurentis Charitable Foundation Sponsor – The Susanna DeLaurentis Charitable Foundation (SDCF) was established to honor the memory and spirit of Susanna DeLaurentis, who died of neuroblastoma at age 10. Funds raised by the Foundation are applied to:

Awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors who excel academically despite extraordinary personal adversity

Recognizing students who demonstrate uncommon sensitivity to peers with special needs

Supporting research into the causes and treatment of neuroblastoma and cystic fibrosis

Monsignor Bonner Baseball Family Sponsor – This institution strives to educate young men in the Catholic and Augustinian tradition, with emphasis on their spiritual, intellectual, athletic and social development. Monsignor Bonner High School, founded in 1953, is a Catholic community committed to the liberal education of our young men in the spirit of St. Augustine. The curriculum provides a careful balance for its 900 students between religious education, academic pursuits, and athletic and social opportunities. Monsignor Bonner High School is fully accredited by the Middle States Association.

Friends Without a Border Sponsor – Every child has the right to a healthy and loving life. Friends Without a Border is committed to improving the health and well-being of the children of Cambodia through Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) and the Capacity Building and Health Education Program (CBHEP). The mission of Angkor Hospital for Children is to provide nurturing pediatric care, medical education, and community outreach. The Capacity Building and Health Education Program seeks to improve the health, hygiene, and nutrition of local communities.

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation – (CHOP) benefits the children’s hospital and vital programs that help save lives. Although this foundation is donor supported, the costs of research and care for these children and the facility is always increasing. With that in mind, Haggerty Silverman & Justice will always donate to this foundation.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – (LLS) is the largest voluntary non-profit organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and education. The goal of this organization is to work toward a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma.
